Hey it's been a long time. It's okay, it's just me. You don't have to be scared here.
We have pink hair now!!! Isn't that cool! I know how much you like all the colours. We change the colour all the time! So now you can have them all! And we have soooooo many tattoos but these ones are real! You don't need the cold water! We are still really short though, but you learn to like it.
You know how you like to play shop? We work in one now! A big one. And we have our own shop too!!! Guess what we sell? Crystals! I know, pretty cool. Don't worry I still keep the prettiest ones for you.
We still play on the swings with our friends, and it's so much fun. And guess what???? You don't have to ask to go to your friends house anymore, you can just go! And you never had to do sport!!! We do like the gym though, because we can do whatever we want in there! It's like a playground.
You still take so many photos! Of everything! But we take them on our fancy phone now, not the high school musical camera (it broke I'm sorry). We put all the photos on our wall, because we can! And now you can look at them all the time.
You have a little sister now! She was born when you were 10! And she is your favourite person on the whole planet. You love eachother so much and you love being sisters. Daniel is still Daniel, you love him very much, and he stopped fighting with you when you both got older. Now he comes to your appartment once a week.
Yes an apartment!!!! You live with Dad right now. It's nice and we can see the river. Lots of room for all your soft toys too! And we have so many blankets! There is a Swan family that live on the river, I know you'd love them.
We are still scared a lot. But that's okay. You are safer now. And so many people love you. They check that you are okay, and listen to you. Because now you talk about what's happening. It's that safe that you can now! People arent scary anymore. You are so so brave for being here.
I know you try so hard. You don't even know how hard you're trying. I'm so proud of you for waking up and putting on your pretty dress to try go outside. You are so strong. And things get easier, I promise. You are an adult now!!! We made it! It's okay.
I think about you all the time. And I know you never thought about me. That's okay. Because I'm here now anyway. I'm going to hold your hand, and keep you safe. I'll keep trying just as hard as you tried. And we will stay here, together.
I love you so much, and I'm sorry for everything you had to face.
You aren't alone anymore. I promise.
From, Jen x
